French sculptor Laurence Jankel’s Candy Nation is a series of oversized candies bearing the flags of different countries, originally created for the 2011 G20 Summit in Cannes, France. Now, to celebrate New York City as a world city and global capital, Candy Nation has landed at the Garment District Mall on Broadway between 36th and 39th Streets as part of an installation by the Garment District Alliance and the New York City Department of Transportatio’s Arterventions program.
